Having "grown-up" together in the veterinary industry working at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, Doctors Michael Robinson and Blake Peurifoy went on to purchase Cabarrus Animal Hospital in 2014, where they grew the hospital alongside a rapidly growing Cabarrus County. In 2019, after realizing the need for a progressive veterinary hospital in the Harrisburg area, Drs Robinson and Peurifoy opened Harrisburg Animal Hospital in the Publix Shopping Center. As the hospital and area both continued to grow, they had the opportunity to purchase University Animal Medical and Dental Hospital and merge the two clinics, enabling them to undertake construction of brand new animal hospital on US 49 in Harrisburg, the site of the former University Animal Hospital. This new building will give them the ability to continue to grow with the ever growing population in Harrisburg, as well as allow them to continue to expand their progressive approach to veterinary care.
Our team is dedicated to providing the best care possible for your pets. Our facility is equipped with the latest equipment and technology, which helps our doctors diagnose and treat most problems as quick as possible. We also maintain excellent relationships with nearby specialists should your pet need referral for specialized care. We also work closely with Dr Matt Ritter, a boarded surgeon, and Dr Scott Tidwell, a boarded radiologist, which allows us to provide many specialty surgeries and diagnostics in our facility, meaning less travel and stress on our clients and patients.
In an industry that is quickly being overtaken by corporately owner veterinary hospitals, we are proud to be locally owned and operated, and take great pride in being active members of our local communities.
